Expository Sermons from the Holy Scriptures
Paul wrote to Timothy, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15). The best way of rightly handling the word of truth is likely the use of expository sermons. While there can be no doubt that topical sermons have their place in preaching, expository sermons prevent the preacher from preaching on his favorite hobby horses week after week. Expository sermons allow the preacher, rather, to bridge the gap between an ancient culture and our own to make appropriate applications to those who hear him.
Perhaps because expository sermons take much diligence and study, many preachers look for an easier way. These sermons are not presented here to circumvent your own study; rather, these sermons are meant to enhance and enable you as you study.
