The elders at the Church of Christ Deer Park and I decided that the first Bible class after the COVID-19 pandemic would be centered on the fruit of the Spirit as described in Galatians 5. It readily became apparent, however, that to begin the study we needed to explore the entire context of Paul’s inspired teaching. Instead of writing about the fruit of the Spirit in a vacuum, the Apostle contrasts the fruit of the Spirit with the works of the flesh. This Bible study series explores that contrast while urging Christians to avoid the works of the flesh while allowing the Spirit of God to produce fruit in our lives.
