Sermons Ideas for New Year’s Day
January 1 always brings hope of a fresh start, a blank page. Resolutions abound at the beginning of the year–weight loss, better financial responsibility, giving up some horrible habit, or the better treatment of others often top the list. The hope and expectation of a new year easily lend to excellent sermon subjects for the people of God. Here are a collection of sermons I have used to commemorate the beginning of a new year.
A Time for Everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-13)
Where We Will be in Ten Years Begins…with ME! (Matthew 25:14-30)
The New Era (Matthew 27:51-53)
Toward Jerusalem (Luke 9:51-56)
Moving Forward (Philippians 3:4-14)
How to Make a Resolution Work (Philippians 3:12-16)
