He graduated recruit training command 1989 and later returned as a recruit division commander having trained eight divisions himself. They have earned the right to wear the uniform, recognized around the world as a symbol of freedom. They and others like them serves as the bedrock of our naval forces. They will join other sailors around the world to give our name, it’s combat edge and enable us to keep this nation secure this training group is ready to graduate and served in the world’s most powerful Navy. Each flag indicates that your sailors individually and as teams met performance standards in one or more missionaries, a division that excels in every phase of training qualifies with a battle efficiency, honor division recognition and is awarded the battle. Samuel Rasmussen Division 419 from Newark Delaware is the winner of the United Service Organization award for best exemplified the spirit and intent of the word shipmate. Oh what right The Military Officers Association Leadership Award is presented to Airman Alina Orosco. Division 4-0 from Tucson Arizona for demonstrating exceptional tenacity and professionalism. Semen Luke Scofield division 4 to 7 from Naples Florida is the recipient of the Navy Club of the United States of America Military Excellence Award for best exemplifying the duties of enthusiasm, devotion to duty, military bearing and teamwork. This award places him at the pinnacle of today’s newest sailors. He has awarded a flag letter of combination Stephen Scofield, the staff of recruit training command salute you as the finest of this group of graduates. Well done sailor. Yeah, delusion. It is appropriate to recognize such outstanding individual accomplishments by these sailors. Yeah I have the distinct pleasure this morning of introducing a reviewing officer. Colonel David Jordan, Commanding officer, Reading air control group 48. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1997 and commissioned in the United States Marine Corps. Selected for the 17 4018. Top level school board for the fellowship at the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D. C. He oversaw the policy departments of three joint task forces. Prior to his current duties, Colonel Grabowski received orders to the pentagon plans, policies and operations headquarters, Marine Corps. He served as a branch head for homeland defense and then as the Marine Corps received planner where he coordinated the services, senior leader involvement in joint lead staff led events. Today we celebrate your graduation from recruit training and welcome us sailors into the world’s finest navy for over a century Naval station. Great Lakes has probably claimed the title of quarterback to the Navy. And through the years over three million civilian recruits have completed their transformation and the highly trained sailors. The program has been rigorous and demanding more from you than you probably thought possible. But each of you has selflessly answered the call to duty to serve a cause greater than yourself. You have passed power stations and multiple physical and mental tests and proven worthy of wearing the uniform that symbolizes freedom throughout the world. You’re the finest this nation has to offer. Now for some recognition. I speak each of the recruits before me in thanking the recruit, division commanders, instructors and staff at recruit training. Command for their commitment to unique and honorable challenge of shaping recruits and maintain the navy’s highest standard. We thank them for their dedication and ensuring our navy receives the best trained sailors ready to serve our nation and we also thank their families as they endured many hours away from each other. I would like to thank the families and friends of all these sailors for the double role you have played in their journey. We recognize today you helped shape the recruit into a person who wanted to stand up in their country and who understands the navy core values of honor, courage and commitment. Most importantly during the past eight weeks you tell supported them through the recruit training process. I know you are proud of our sailors standing before you today. That pride will only continue to grow as they travel the world defending our nation. We now want you to the native family sailors. You’re about to embark on the most challenging adventures of your life. You chose to serve your country at a time when it is most needed. When America must show a strong Navy and Marine corps presence throughout the world in the air, on land and sea.
