Navy Lt. Cmdr. Aroon Seeda: Before I joined the Navy, I’m full-time Buddhist monk. My name is Chaplain Aroon Seeda, a lieutenant commander in the United States Navy. I work as religious ministry department head as a clinical chaplain. The one things that are important of what I learned from the temple is how to be centered, how to be mindful, and how to ground myself. When I saw the soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen that had to go through a difficult time, mindfulness meditation is the one of the tool that I … has been used for a long long time, and I believe this is really something that can help them.
