Airmen from the 103rd Airlift Wing reunited with their families this week as they returned from their deployment to Southwest Asia. The return marked the conclusion of the unit’s second deployment with the C-130 aircraft. Connecticut’s Airmen supported ongoing expeditionary combat support operations in Southwest Asia. The C-130 tactical airlift mission provides critical capabilities for deployed U.S. forces as air crews bring personnel and supplies to both established airfields and austere environments in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility. With another successful deployment now completed, the 103rd Airlift Wing has demonstrated its global mobility, and solidified itself as a key role player in deployed operations with U.S. and coalition forces. Reporting from the 103rd Airlift Wing, I’m Staff Sergeant Steven Tucker.
