Navy Recruit Training Command Graduation June 11, 2021



Congratulations to the newest and sharpest Sailors in the U.S. Navy who graduated June 11th. Divisions 263, 264, 265, 266, 267, 268, 269, 270, 271 and 272 from Training Group 29 are the graduating divisions. Well done Sailors! The reviewing officer was Rear Adm. Jennifer Couture, commander, Naval Service Training Command. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy’s only boot camp.

Mhm. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mhm. Get into your Hello, I’m Captain Geoffrey Sanan, commanding officer of Recruit training command. I welcome you to the virtual edition of our recruit graduation ceremony. Even though you cannot be here in person, is important to be able to share this experience with you, the families and friends watching online and witnessing this significant milestone. Next time you talk to your sailor, I am fairly confident that they will have many stories to tell you about their boot camp experience. But first allow me the opportunity to show you our side of the story, hurry up. Let’s go get on the bus. Let’s go. I don’t know, recruit training command is the quarter deck of the United States Navy. Good order and discipline will be maintained 24 7. Proper military possible will be maintained 24/7. Every enlisted sailor begins their naval career here and our mission is fairly simple. It’s to transform civilians into smartly disciplined, physically fit sailors ready for follow on training and service to the fleet and while doing so to instill in them the highest values of honor, courage and commitment. You are no longer a civilian, whatever you were before is now over. You’re about to begin a journey that’s gonna make you a part of the greatest naval force the world has ever known. This training will not be easy. It wasn’t meant to be. Oh, our training environment is controlled chaos. What are you guys While it may not seem like that to the recruits, Each and every event has meaning and purpose. You’re gonna stand off at the top of your look. Do you understand? We are designed to develop skill sets that sailors can carry throughout their entire career? Yeah. To push hard on physical fitness, Watch, standing and creating a warrior mindset with mental stand, We’re gonna be focused on your mind, a true body, mind and soul approach. When I say, you’ll have 51/5 on your face, your straps. Check your all of our recruits receive training. That will help them. The second they get to the fleet. Yeah. Put your buses down, right? Yeah. Firefighting, damage, control weapons and seamanship. Our recruits get hands on training and application with them all. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. I put my in front of right. Right. What’s your name by two weekends? What? Yeah. Good One breath based on top. Why? Right. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Surface it is awake. Mhm. Mhm Bottom here. So I need everything you’ve got because once we start this evolution again, I’m going to expect you to adapt, overcome and peace. Oh my pay up. Yeah. Work together as a team, execute the mission. Mhm. The next time I see you, you’ll be saving who your neighbor. Everything they learn is tested in a battle stations, identify yourself chief. Division 001 manned and ready for battle station. Chief. Very well relax anything that is on you. Yeah. A 24 hour event where the recruit ceases to exist. Mhm. Yeah. And a sailor is forged. Yeah. Mhm. Mhm. Maybe boot camp really is a machine with a swarm of moving parts all working towards the same goal. Making a sailor. The sailors here are the bedrock of our naval forces that give our Navy a combat edge and enable us to help keep the nation’s secure each of them. You see here today has earned the right to wear the uniform, recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom. And the first laugh. Yeah, wow. Broken California. Yeah. Mhm. This concludes in a ceremony, congratulations sailors. You’ve graduated from boot camp today. We recognize the completion of your transformation from civilian to sailor. You are now part of a profession of arms forged through shared adversity, confident in your abilities and certain in your convictions that you are ready to handle any challenge. Your training teams saw these traits and brought them out of each of you and I personally cannot be more proud of how you’ve proven you have what it takes to be sailors in our nation’s Navy. While your time here has been different than others have had in the past, fundamentally, most things haven’t changed. You’ve been trained in basic firefighting damage control, seamanship, small arms and watch, standing. And you’ve proven that you are mentally, morally and physically tough. You’ve also showed that you can communicate and effectively work as part of a team. You’ve successfully demonstrated the war fighting spirit of a sailor in the United States Navy and have now earned the right to wear that title. The coronavirus has certainly impacted your training experience. But the Navy is inherently flexible and agile sailors in the fleet. Excel when faced with challenges. Just like you’ve all demonstrated here during boot camp. Your families have also an important part in your future success on behalf of the Navy. I want to welcome you the newest members of the Navy family, watching from around the nation. The term navy family isn’t just a slogan. It’s a continued commitment and network of military families and connections that spans the globe. Your sailors will be stationed around the world, making sure the seas are free and open and you have an important part in their journey. They might not tell you, but your sailor will need your continued love and support throughout their time and service, which makes you our Navy’s families, truly essential to the sailors graduating today. Well done. Shipmates and congratulations again, We’re all very proud of what you have achieved here at recruit training command. Let us pray Almighty God! We joined together today to celebrate the accomplishment of these sailors. Having completed Navy recruit training. We know success was earned by these sailors not given. And yet we also know that there are many who were involved in helping them along the way for the RTC’s who worked long hours and sacrificed greatly. We ask that you would give them rest in coming days. For the others here recruit training who poured time and knowledge into these sailors, give them the strength to carry on day to day. For the families, many who are able to watch on this live stream, We ask that you would encourage them with this graduation and finally, God would you from this moment on be with these sailors, helping them to act honorably and the challenges of life courageously when temptations arise and committed to constantly improving, not just individually, but one another as well.
