Congratulations to the newest and sharpest Sailors in the U.S. Navy who graduated June 4th. Divisions 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 261, and 262 from Training Group 28 are the graduating divisions. mhm. Yeah, mm. Mhm. Get into your Hello, I’m Captain Geoffrey Sanden, commanding officer of Recruit training command. I welcome you to the virtual edition of our recruit graduation ceremony. Even though you cannot be here in person, is important to be able to share this experience with you, the families and friends watching online and witnessing this significant milestone. Next time you talk to your sailor, I am fairly confident that they will have many stories to tell you about their boot camp experience. But first allow me the opportunity to show you our side of the story, hurry up. Let’s go get on the bus. Let’s go. Yeah, I would have done recruit training command is the quarter deck of the United States Navy. Good order and discipline will be maintained 24 7. Proper military posture will be maintained 24 7. Every enlisted sailor begins their naval career here and our mission is fairly simple. It’s to transform civilians into smartly disciplined, physically fit sailors ready for follow on training and service to the fleet and while doing so to instill in them. The highest values of honor, courage and commitment. You are no longer a civilian, whatever you were before is now over. You are about to begin a journey that’s gonna make you a part of the greatest naval force the world has ever known. This training will not be easy. It wasn’t meant to be. Yeah, no, our training environment is controlled chaos. No, you guys, while it may not seem like that to the recruits, each and every event has meaning and purpose. You’re gonna stand off at the top of your look here. You understand, we are designed to develop skill sets that sailors can carry throughout their entire career. You push hard on physical fitness, watch, standing and creating a warrior mindset with the mental scan, we’re gonna be focused on your mind, a true body mind and soul approach. When I say, you’ll have 51/5 on your face, your straps and put your hands. You’re all of our recruits receive training that will help them the second they get to the fleet. Lines up this with your budget, Wait, firefighting damage, control, weapons and seamanship. Our recruits get hands on training and application with them all. Yeah. Mhm. Okay. I put my hands in front. All right, Good. Right. All right. Thank you, ma’am. Bye. Two weekends again. One breath, basically don’t want right now. Mhm. But on this one out there. Perfect. Beautiful way. Mhm. Mhm. Body here. So, I need never seen you guys because once we start this evolution again, I’m going to expect you to adapt, overcome and be my baby. Pay up. Work together as a team, execute the mission. This concludes today’s ceremony. Congratulations sailors. You’ve graduated from boot camp. Today. We recognize the completion of your transformation from civilian two sailor. You are now part of a profession of arms forged through shared adversity, confident in your abilities and certain in your convictions that you are ready to handle any challenge. Your training teams saw these traits and brought them out of each of you. And I personally cannot be more proud of how you’ve proven you have what it takes to be sailors in our nation’s Navy. While your time here has been different than others have had in the past, fundamentally, most things haven’t changed. You’ve been trained in basic firefighting, damage control, seamanship, small arms and watch standing and you’ve proven that you are mentally, morally and physically tough. You’ve also showed that you can communicate and effectively work as part of a team. You’ve successfully demonstrated the war fighting spirit of a sailor in the United States Navy and have now earned the right to wear that title. The coronavirus has certainly impacted your training experience. But the Navy is inherently flexible and agile sailors in the fleet. Excel when faced with challenges just like you’ve all demonstrated here during boot camp. Your families have also an important part in your future success on behalf of the Navy. I want to welcome you the newest members of the navy family, watching from around the nation. The term navy family isn’t just a slogan. It’s a continued commitment and network of military families and connections that spans the globe. Your sailors will be stationed around the world, making sure the seas are free and open and you have an important part in their journey. They might not tell you, but your sailor will need your continued love and support throughout their time and service, which makes you our Navy’s families truly essential to the sailors graduating today. Well done Shipmates and congratulations again. We’re all very proud of what you have achieved here at recruit training command. Mhm. Let us pray almighty and eternal father. We come to you in gratitude for the lives of these brave young men and women that have transitioned from civilians into sailors. We thank you for their families and loved ones. We pray for them to always be mindful of the importance of honoring the United States Navy, defending freedom and democracy around the world. We pray for them to always remain physically mentally and spiritually tough. Such a state of their whole being will help them embrace the necessary resiliency for the mission they are called to achieve that. Help them understand that they are being God’s farther than they are doing and in life who we are precede what we do. We thank you for the lessons they have received from their instructors and our leaders in recruit training command great lakes. From now on, new challenges will come to their lives. Help them always be mindful of your presence, protecting them and their families. What they represent. The values of honor, courage and commitment as well as the attributes of integrity, accountability, initiative and toughness as they did friend. The greatest nation humankind has ever seen.
