A meeting was held at West Memorial Hospital in Broward County on the evening of March 16, 2020. The meeting included senior officials of the Florida National Guard and various community agency representatives to discuss logistics of the FNG’s upcoming drive-through testing area in support of the Florida Department of Health (DOH) COVID-19 response.
Included is a voice-over pulled from an interview with Col. Ricardo Roig, Commander of the Florida National Guard’s 50th Regional Support Group.

I will tell you that it’s infusing leadership and a multi-agency environment to ensure that everybody has cross-communication and understands what their responsibilities are, and to be able to create this effective team, whether it is a public agency such as the hospital or us, the military, and be able to come into an agreement of how we need to be able to execute this mission effectively together to protect the public as fast and as quickly as possible.
