Coast Guard medevacs teen male from Baranof Island, Alaska


A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew medevacs a 16-year-old male Sitka Wilderness Therapy student who was experiencing chest pains while hiking on Duffield Peninsula, approximately 30 miles north of Sitka, Alaska, Dec. 8, 2019. The aircrew safely hoisted and transferred the teen to awaiting emergency medical services personnel in Sitka for further care. U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Sitka video.
