Exercise Iron Sword continues for the Sky Soldiers of 3rd Platoon, Battle Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment (Airborne). Over the course of 10 days our paratroopers get to work alongside of our Greek allies and participate in their training; like a Greek squad qualification course and explosives class. Exercise Iron Sword is a joint training exercise between elements from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment; 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment; and the 71st Air Mobile Brigade taking place at the Urban Warfare National Training Center in Kilkis, Greece from November 18 to November 26, 2019. The exercise is designed to strengthen interoperability between Greek and U.S. forces.
