Meyer is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON 15), the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force. Forward deployed Naval forces are a strategic option as the ships are already in a position to adapt to ever changing mission sets. We’re out here building regional partnerships in the Indo-Pacific to deter aggression and strengthen partnerships.
