Roland Scarinci, a 96-Year-Old Marine, Gives Harmonic Tribute


Corporal Roland Scarinci joined the Marines in 1942 and served during WWII. He deployed to the Pacific Theater with the 1st Marine Division. He has been playing a harmonica since he was 8 and on Nov.11, 2019 he performed a tune for Veterans Day at the Philadelphia Union League for their annual Veterans Luncheon. In attendance was numerous veterans from various services or campaigns to include active members of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard’s 56th Stryker Brigade and the Airmen from the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 111th Attack Wing both located out of Horsham, PA.
