British Soldiers use information warfare during Dragoon Ready 20


British Army Soldiers assigned to the 77th Brigade, 6th United Kingdom Division, use information warfare during Dragoon Ready 20 at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany, November 2, 2019. British Soldiers with the 77BDE specialize in, and utilize, civil affairs, public affairs, media and psychological operations to achieve mission success. (intense music) (background chatter) (yelling) (intense music)

Their mission for this exercise is for them to interface with the civil populous whether it’s residents, whether its refugees fleeing Czechia and Poland. And they want to mitigate the impact of military operations on the civil populous. (cheering) And they wanna keep civilians from interfering with military operations as well. (intense music)

It is a new unit, it is being built at the moment. We are at quite a good capacity but looking for much more people to join the unit. (chanting) It is to project the British Army’s forward presence of informational with our intelligence that are deployed and at home. (cheering)

So it can reduce psychological objectives if the commander wishes it or we can enroll to be more humanitarian do the civic role and be that bridge between the military and the civilian NGOs. And make sure that the commander’s intents and role with an AO is not interfered NGOs role and vise versa. (muffled conversation)

I think 77X, their living up to their reputation they’ve set the bar really high they always perform very well here and they are continuing to do so this time. (muffled conversation) (intense music)
