For generations the free men and women of our nation’s military have fought with skill and valor to protect us. We carry on that tradition today. The 355th Wing plays a critical role in our national defense strategy. Our ability to project force rapidly is unmatched. The future of Dynamic Force Employment is being engineered by you, right here at Davis-Monthan. You are learning to wield combat power like no one else can. We are training to swiftly establish, sustain, and defend our base with only the tools and assets available. We are asking you to challenge the status quo, break barriers, and learn to do something no one else can. To be a dynamic wing we have to push past our comfort zone and learn to deploy in new ways, to deter our near-peer adversaries. We will be prepared to go at a moment’s notice, into environments that may not be ready for us, more austere and more contested. As airmen, we must know our role in the joint fight. This new approach to war fighting requires us to crack the mold and execute duties beyond our AFSCs. We must be adaptable and agile. It’s our duty to approach every challenge with a multifunctional mindset, focused on mission success. The Dynamic Wing is redefining readiness and ushering in a new era of air power. This is how we prepare for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s fight. Rescue and attack.
