The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from the sailing vessel Impatience approximately 20 miles offshore of Port Aransas, Texas, Friday.
Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders received a call from a member onboard the vessel requesting a medevac for a 34-year-old male crewmember who was dehydrated and experiencing symptoms of extreme sea sickness.
A Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was launched to the vessel who then hoisted the patient and transferred him to the Corpus Christi Medical Center – Bay Area where he was received and reported to be in stable condition.
