Our biggest mission is to win interservice and national level competitions to showcase the Army’s ability, and show that we are the top marksmen in the country. We take those lessons learned from competition and teach it directly to the soldiers. The President’s 100 Rifle Match is a competition shot at the national championships at Camp Perry, Ohio. It’s a 30-round course of fire. So out of a possible 300 points, the high 20 shooters go in and shoot a shootoff in addition to those 30 shots. I managed to clean the 30-shot match going into the shootoff and also shot a perfect for 100. I was the first person ever to clean the entire course of fire. It’s a very prestigious award for us to even to win the President’s 100 Match, and to go out there and set a record nobody’s ever shot before, it’s a pretty big deal. You can win all the trophies that, you know, that you can go out there and compete for, but knowing that you’re sharing knowledge that could save someone’s life, um, really, really makes it rewarding.
