A Peruvian navy officer talks about his experiences aboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20). Comfort is working with health and government partners in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems strained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants. My name is Guillerma Orlando Valderjama Sarwi I am a survey worker officer for the Peru Navy. I was born in Lima, Peru I am only arrival for the comfort here in Peru. The fist day I see the numbers of how many people we were helping the first mission in the port. It was shocking for me. It will be very useful for our part of the nation to continue this kind of humanitary missions Because it will; because ah chose to coordinate more exercises that this it for me. After this is done; ah, I’m going get an underwater mission ship. My stay here in the comfort was really amazing for me.
