[Narrator] Hundreds of people attended an annual ceremony in the village of Picauville, France on June 4th. The ceremony commemorates the 75th anniversary of D-Day, and the forces that fought to secure the village in the days following June 6th.

I believe it’s part of our heritage as airmen, and as was demonstrated today, in this ceremony, just the important part that we play, not only in the invasion, but throughout the rest of the battle of Normandy, and the eventual liberation of Europe in its entirety. You can see from the locals that are around that it is very much appreciated that we’re a part of this, and they still very much recognize, not only what we did back then, but we still do today.

[Narrator] Reporting from Picauville, France, I’m Airman First Class, Noah Coger.
