Welcome sir, thank you for joining us. Ladies and gentlemen, today marks a milestone In a journey that began 13 long weeks ago when the marines of charlie company stepped on those famous yellow footprints and committed themselves to becoming marines. They were taught our poor values of honor, courage, and commitment in order to make marines of exemplary character with a clear understanding that being a marine carries a special trust and confidence and the highest expectations of the american people. We develop their physical and mental toughness by viewing them with the warrior spirit, able to thrive in a complex and chaotic environment, enable to persevere and push past their perceived limits. When they’re medalists tested, they learned the skills and warfighter characterized by sound judgment and aggressiveness and execution. They hiked catlike smile, learn how to operate in the field and completed on marksmanship program, Enabling them to engage pinpoint targets at distances of up to 500 yards. We taught them to decide, act and communicate with a bias for action and with the boldness and determination required of every moment. And we taught them to be leaders who embrace that exceptional and unremitting responsibility to every one of their fellow marines. All of that flaming culminated in a 54 hour event in the hills of Camp Pendleton, the crucible. They hiked those hills with little food and almost no sleep in order to be tested on their skill, determination, and leadership, but they showed their grit and work together as a team to complete the crucible and earn a title that they will take pride in for the rest of their lives. Title. United States Marine. Mhm. That ladies and gentlemen, you excuse me for just a moment. I’d like to address the marines and charlie Company. Good morning. My charlie company.
