SIERRA ARMY DEPOT, California — Soldiers with 531st Hospital Center, 44th Medical Brigade and other subordinate units from across the United States are deployed here for a U.S. Forces Command Medical Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise. 586th Field Hospital is processing simulated casualties. A team of Soldiers and civilians make up the moulage team that makes the simulated casualties as realistic as possible, enabling training. One of those Soldiers is Spc. We’re making these look like real-life injuries just so that the field hospital here gets a better training than what a lot of us are used to. I’ve done a lot of things I never thought I was gonna do while in the Army as a medic. I feel like, if you’re gonna do something, why not do it really, really good?
