It’s important for the community to know of our presence here, to show that we support them and that we’re here to help them out in any way possible, and to lift their spirits, and to show that we’re willing to do anything to help them out. The community is actually extremely happy that we are here. They’ve been sharing stories with us about how tough it’s been for them getting food at the grocery store, and just how nonexistent the amount of movement that they have had in this area. We’re all very happy to be here. A lot of people may have been scared to have come this way, but none of our soldiers here are scared. We’re just here to help out, hand out food, make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
