Longevity ceremony honors employees in Baumholder


US Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz honored about 30 German and American employees during a ceremony celebrating longevity and commitment to service October 29, 2019, in the Baumholder Military Community.

[Jason] Duty, commitment and loyalty were on display October 29th during a ceremony to honor the longevity of American and German employees of the Baumholder military community. About 30 employees received certificates for their service. The ceremony also paid tribute to a set of retiring workers, recognizing their efforts through the years. Jutta Spohn, a local national employee who works in the budget office was recognized for her 40 years of service.

It means a lot, you know, I like my job. I’m here to help the soldiers, the families, my customers. I’m interested in my job. The 40 years passed by very, very fast.

[Jason] Deputy Garrison Manager Jim Bradford said the event is significant for a number of reasons.

Their goal, their mission, their job, no matter how basic someone may look at it, it gets after providing readiness to our army and providing readiness for those soldiers and families.
