NORMANDY, France (June 03, 2019) The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is home to the graves of more than 9,380 of our deceased military members, most of whom lost their lives in the D-Day landings and ensuing operations. This week commemorates the 75th anniversary of D-Day. American, British, and French military members are joining our nation’s leaders this week to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives in defense of their nation on that fateful day – June 06, 1944. B-Roll includes Omaha Beach, grave sites, and visitors to the memorial who have brought restored vehicles and clothing to honor the occasion.
